1. Google Wave

Google Wave is a software framework for real time collaborative editing online.
Google Wave was the first shot at social networking by Google. By August 2012, Google wave would be ended.


2. IGoogle

iGoogle Which is a personalized homepage from Google, which has customization options to set up your favorite gadgets,Feeds and tools. This tool was launched in 2005 and would be ending by 1st Nov, 2013. Google has admitted that iGoogle has eroded over time.


3. Google Friend Connect

Known as Friend Connect is an online service from Google that allows website and blog owners to add social features to their websites.
On Nov 23, 2011 Google's Senior Vice president of Operations announced that Friend Connect would be retired for all non-Blogger sites. Google started encouraging the usage of Google+ badges instead of Friend Connect.


4. Google Buzz

Google's fast indulgent with the Google Plus social networking meant the end of Google Buzz. Google Buzz was a combination of social networking, microblogging, and a messaging tool from Google launched on Feb 9, 2010 and ended in Dec 11, 2011.

Picnik was an interesting twist by Google. Google acquired the smart online photo editing tool Picnik in March 2010 but, by Jan 2012 it announced that it was shutting down the service and assigning those who cam with Picnik to develop Google+ photo editing services.
